BoB/Forward calculates the motion of a subject using forward dynamics analysis. The user inputs a combination of initial conditions, torques at joints, geometrical constraints, floor contact and arbitrary forces acting on the body as functions of time and/or motion. BoB/Forward then integrates the equations of motion to calculate the resulting motion.
Forward dynamics and inverse dynamics can be combined in a single analysis – for example the motion of some, or all, of the joints can be imported for all times or specific times. BoB/Forward will calculate the motion of the non-defined joint motions.
Movement and forces generated by BoB/Forward can be read into BoB/Research, BoB/Ergo and BoB/EMG for display and further analysis.
